Elise est biologiste et guide de formation et illustratrice<\/a><\/span>. Elle a compl\u00e9t\u00e9 sa ma\u00eetrise en limnologie (Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Chicoutimi (UQAC)), \u00e9tudiant la composition de la glace de lacs bor\u00e9aux et arctiques.<\/span><\/p>

Ses projets l\u2019ont amen\u00e9 \u00e0 voyager et travailler au Nunavik (nord du Qu\u00e9bec) et au Nunavut, sur l\u2019\u00cele de Baffin, l\u2019\u00cele d\u2019Ellesmere et dans la r\u00e9gion du Kitikmeot.<\/span><\/p>

Ses champs d\u2019expertise sont:<\/span><\/p>

(1) <\/span>la planification et gestion de l\u2019\u00e9chantillonnage<\/b><\/a>: r\u00e9vision et adaptation de protocoles, planification d\u2019\u00e9chantillonnage, collecte d\u2019\u00e9chantillons, prises de mesures et donn\u00e9es, manipulations en laboratoire*, saisie et organisation de donn\u00e9es;<\/span><\/p>

(2) <\/span>la communication scientifique<\/b><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>

Gabriel exerce le m\u00e9tier de guide depuis 10 ans. Dans l\u2019industrie touristique, il a accompagn\u00e9 des groupes en tra\u00eeneau \u00e0 chiens, randonn\u00e9e en montagne, kayak de mer, ski de randonn\u00e9e, canot en eau vive, motoneige, bateau et VTT. Il a sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 son guidage pour la recherche scientifique en r\u00e9gion arctique depuis maintenant 3 ans.<\/span><\/p>

L\u2019Arctique canadien est son terrain de jeu et sa maison d\u2019adoption. Ses diff\u00e9rents contrats l\u2019ont amen\u00e9 \u00e0 travailler au Nunavik (nord du Qu\u00e9bec) et au Nunavut, sur l\u2019\u00cele de baffin, l\u2019\u00cele d\u2019Ellesmere et dans la r\u00e9gion du Kitikmeot.<\/span><\/p>

Son d\u00e9sir de d\u00e9couvertes et d\u2019exploration l'a men\u00e9 \u00e0 se sp\u00e9cialiser en secourisme en r\u00e9gions isol\u00e9es. Il est <\/span>instructeur Sirius<\/b> pour les formations de premiers soins en r\u00e9gion isol\u00e9e (20h, 40h, 80h) ainsi que le cours de d\u00e9fense contre les pr\u00e9dateurs sauvages (DPS) (voir <\/span>formations<\/span><\/a> offertes). Il est \u00e9galement <\/span>technicien m\u00e9dical d\u2019urgence en r\u00e9gion isol\u00e9e (REMT)<\/b> et <\/span>personne m\u00e9dicale en charge (MPI).<\/b><\/p>
